Alex joined the Diefendorf Capital team on September 1, 2010, when Ariston Advisors became a division of Consolidated Portfolio Review Corp. a registered investment advisor operating under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Consolidated Portfolio Review Corp. will manage the day-to-day operations of the Ariston Advisors quantitative models under Alex’s direction.

Prior to our affiliation, Alex received his BS in Applied Mathematics and Statistics from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1993. 
 
After graduation, Alex began his business career at Market Guide as the Director of Business Development. In 1997 he joined Reuters where he was Sr. Sales Specialist for 10 years. During that same period of time, Alex founded Ariston Advisors which aggregates actively managed investment Models from reputable providers and performs the required trading to ensure its clients' portfolios consistently mirror the Model portfolios. This simplifies the investment process, provides an efficient and effective way to invest, and offers a unique and functional alternative to both mutual funds and Exchange Traded Funds. In 2008, he joined EDGAR Online as the SVP of Global Head of Sales. Alex has taken on a new position as of September 2010 with Capital IQ, a division of Standard & Poors. There he will fill a role in sales for web-based information services.
 
Alex is a resident of Garden City where he resides with his wife and 3 children.
